Star and Planet almanac,
Star and Planet calendar 2008
For 2008 there is no English version of the Star and Planet Calendar. The English compagnie which published our work in 2001, 2002 and 2003
under the name "Star and Planet Almanac" cancelled April 2003 at the last moment
6,000 copies of the "Star and Planet Almanac 2004". For 2005 they started "their
own almanac" using our evening star maps and many ideas without mentioning
us, also without asking us for
permission. After very much writing they accepted and paid some money for using the
maps in 2005. Though for 2006 they didnot get permission to use our work, they again made a stargazers' almanac 2006
which looks like a (cheap) copy of our work. Their almanac 2006 and 2007 doesnot
have our evening maps,
but maps which look quite the same as our 12 midnight-maps at an enlarged
scale.
Plagiarizing our star maps was so easily done. We did send that English
publisher June 2002 a PDF-file of January-December 2003, because of they wanted to
check the English language. They received 36 star maps: the 12 evening maps, the
12 midnight maps and the 12 morning maps. With these PDF-files you are able to
change a little bit in e.g the layer of the sky colour, the layer of the
horizon, the shape of the stars, with the effect "star maps which look different".
